Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms govern access to and use of RareReg. By creating an account, submitting content, or using the service, you agree to them. If you use RareReg for a business, you represent that you have authority to act for it.

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. RareReg has not yet adopted a separate published minimum-age rule; minors should not create accounts or submit vehicle or marketplace information.

Accounts and accurate information

You are responsible for your account credentials and activity. Provide current, accurate information and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Do not misrepresent vehicle identity, ownership, authority to act, verification evidence, listing status, price, source, or rights in submitted content.

Qualifying vehicles and registration

RareReg is intended for rare, limited-production, tuner-built, dealer-special, numbered, and other documented specialty vehicles. RareReg may review taxonomy submissions and decide whether a vehicle fits the registry.

A registry record documents information; it does not establish title, legal ownership, condition, value, authenticity of every component, or future collectibility. Records submitted for publication may require moderation.

Ownership claims and verification

You may claim an eligible unclaimed record only when you own the vehicle or have authority to act for the owner. Claim evidence is reviewed privately by authorized administrators.

RareReg Verified has the limited meaning described in the Verification Policy. It is not a warranty, appraisal, inspection, title opinion, or guarantee.

Marketplace and external listings

RareReg provides vehicle discovery, listing information, and private offer tools. RareReg is not the owner, seller, dealer, buyer, escrow provider, payment processor, shipping provider, or party to a vehicle transaction merely because information appears on the service.

Listings may be owner-entered, dealer-entered, or sourced from authorized sellers, APIs, or feeds. External information can change or become stale. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for identity checks, inspections, title and lien research, applicable taxes, legal compliance, payment safety, and all other due diligence. See the Marketplace Policy.

User content and licenses

You retain rights you hold in submitted content. You grant RareReg a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, promote, and improve the registry and marketplace.

You must have permission to submit the material and to grant this license. Visibility controls and source-specific rights still apply; private documents are not made public merely by upload.

Prohibited activity

  • Fraud, impersonation, deceptive listings, manipulated identity data, or unauthorized ownership claims.
  • Uploading unlawful, infringing, malicious, private, or confidential material without authority.
  • Bypassing authentication, RLS, moderation, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Scraping, automated extraction, bulk access, or automated submissions that burden the service or violate source rights, except through written authorization.
  • Interfering with the service, testing vulnerabilities without permission, or using RareReg for unlawful transactions.

RareReg intellectual property

RareReg’s branding, site design, software, and original editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership. Third-party vehicle names, marks, listing content, and photographs remain subject to their respective rights.

Reports, moderation, and suspension

RareReg may investigate reports, request supporting information, correct or restrict content, reject submissions, deactivate listings, suspend accounts, or remove access when reasonably necessary for safety, rights protection, data quality, or enforcement.

Use the Contact form and select “Report a Listing” for incorrect or suspicious content.

Third-party services and availability

RareReg relies on service providers and links to external sources. Their services and terms are separate, and RareReg does not control their availability, security, or content.

The service may change, experience interruptions, or discontinue features. RareReg does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or permanent availability of any listing or feature.

Disclaimers and responsibility

RareReg provides the service and its information on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Vehicle, listing, production, pricing, and source information may be incomplete, disputed, or outdated and should be independently verified.

To the extent permitted by law, RareReg is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service or transactions between users or third parties. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes, termination, and contact

RareReg may update these Terms prospectively and will revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. You may stop using the service; RareReg may terminate or restrict access under these Terms.

A governing-law and venue clause has not been published because RareReg’s legal entity and principal jurisdiction have not been confirmed. That item requires business and legal review.
