Marketplace purpose
RareReg’s Market helps people discover specialty vehicles that owners or sources identify as for sale or open to offers. A registry vehicle does not have to be offered for sale.
RareReg does not own or sell an externally sourced vehicle and is not a party to a transaction merely because a listing or offer tool appears on the service.
Listing types
Inventory may come from a vehicle owner, a dealer, a seller who authorizes RareReg to use listing information or photographs, or a configured API/feed provider. This includes seller-authorized private listings such as Facebook Marketplace records.
External source records remain separate from canonical vehicle identity so multiple authorized sources can refer to one physical vehicle without duplicate vehicle cards.
Attribution and provenance
External listings should retain the original source name and link, with seller/dealer attribution when supplied. Users should consult the originating source for its current terms and details.
Photographs may be used only when RareReg has an appropriate permission or license. API/feed access does not by itself establish copyright ownership. Source-specific image provenance must be preserved.
Price, status, and availability
Asking prices, bids, mileage, location, descriptions, and availability can change at the source. Syncs and reviews may lag behind those changes. RareReg does not guarantee that a vehicle remains available, that a displayed price or bid is current, or that an external link remains active.
When a source is confirmed ended or missing through a safe complete-snapshot process, its source record may be marked inactive. A canonical registry record may remain as vehicle history.
Seller responsibility
Owners, dealers, and external sellers remain responsible for authority to offer the vehicle, accurate information, lawful content, current status, responding to inquiries, and complying with applicable licensing, advertising, tax, title, and transaction requirements.
Buyer due diligence
Buyers should independently confirm seller identity and authority, VIN and title, liens, vehicle condition, documentation, inspection results, price, taxes, transport, and payment safety. RareReg does not guarantee condition, ownership, seller identity, authenticity, availability, or freedom from fraud.
Prohibited listings
- Stolen, nonexistent, unlawfully offered, or materially misrepresented vehicles.
- Duplicate listings intended to manipulate visibility.
- Listings without authority to offer the vehicle or use the content.
- Malicious links, deceptive pricing, false source attribution, or content unrelated to qualifying specialty vehicles.
Corrections, reports, and removal
RareReg may correct, merge, restrict, deactivate, or remove content and may request evidence from a submitter or source. Rights holders and sellers may request correction or removal, subject to identity, authority, registry-integrity, and recordkeeping review.
